We use the TeX typesetting system for a lot of things. Therefore, we gave it a page of its own.
As users of free software, we are unhappy with the current avalanche of patents, often of very obvious ideas. Officially, Europe doesn't allow software patents, but this regulation is under fire, as well as the demarcation of what constitutes a software patent.
